The IOLN Irish Ocean Literacy Network held its second network meeting, in 2019 at DCU Dublin College University to develop a nationwide campaign to engage the public in learning more our ocean.

The meeting and campaign development was chaired by David Murphy and supported by the team at AquaTT.

Exploring the themes.

The Day of Inspiration event was funded by Science Foundation Ireland and MaREI who also brought a team of marketers and animators to input how the ‘NEW’ campaign could be delivered.

DCU, great campus and the network was welcomed.

Sorting themes, overlap, sort and deliverable.

The day started with ‘guided’ discussion and ‘thematic’ ideas. IOLN Members were allowed to input and discuss at every stage.

As our members come from a host of backgrounds, and skills we are able to task some members with different tasks, most suited to them.

Putting it all together.

The days workshop produced some key themes, and actions the network members can deliver over the next 6 months. This new campaign will be launched soon, and we hope all our members enjoy the participation in a really well planned campaign.

We hope you enjoyed this synopsis and are looking forward to the launch of the IOLNetwork 2019 Campaign.
